Goals from Luis Suarez and Neymar inspired FC Barcelona to a 5-0 win over Sporting Gijon in the absence of Lionel Messi.
The visitors were without the services of Lionel Messi, who is out for three weeks. While, Arda Turan was drafted in as his replacement.
The Catalan giants eventually broke the deadlock after 29 minutes when Turan's pass found Luis Saurez, who rounded Pichu Cuellar to tap into an empty net.
The lead was doubled three minutes later as Sergi Roberto picked out Rafinha Alcantara, who headed home from close range.
Sporting, meanwhile, were chasing shadows for most of the encounter and failed to threaten the Barcelona goal.
Luis Enrique's charges continued to dominate in the second half, but struggled to carve out clear-cut openings.
The visitors opted for a double change for the final 20 minutes, as Denis Saurez and Paco Alcacer replaced Sergio Busquets and Suarez.
Sporting were then reduced to 10 men in the 74th minute when Alberto Ramos was given his marching orders for a second yellow card.
Barcelona then added a third goal after 81 minutes as Cuellar saved Alcacer's iniatial effort, however Neymar was on hand to tap home the rebound.
Turan registered his name on the score-sheet four minutes later, as the Turkish midfielder turned home Sergi Roberto's cross from the right.
Neymar grabbed his second and Barcelona's fifth in the 88th minute, as the Brazilian latched onto a pass from Denis Suarez, before finishing into the bottom corner.
