FC Barcelona maintained top spot in La Liga, after Neymar netted a hat-trick to lead the Catalan giants to a 4-1 win over Las Palmas on Sunday evening.
It was Barca who threatened early on with Neymar going close with two close range efforts in the opening five minutes.
Luis Enrique's charges continued to dominate the possession statistics, but were finding it tough to carve out chances in the final third.
However, the deadlock was eventually broken in the 25th minute as Suarez broke free before teeing up Neymar, who slotted home from close range.
Two minutes later, the lead was doubled when Neymar turned provider to play in Suarez with a ball over the top and the striker lobbed the ball over the on-rushing Javi Varas.
Las Palmas were not completely out of the encounter as they had threatened in the final third on a couple occasions and also forced Marc-Andre Ter Stegen into a save.
Nevertheless, the score remained 2-0 to the Catalan giants at the halftime break.
Las Palmas carved out a couple chances of their own in the second half through Momo and Bigas after 60 minutes, but they both failed to convert from close range.
Three minutes later, the hosts pulled a goal back as Kevin-Prince Boateng picked out Pedro Rigo, who fired past Ter Stegen, 1-2.
However, the home side's joy was short-lived as Neymar bagged his second of the game four minutes later, with Ivan Rakitic getting the assist.
Neymar completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute as the Brazilian turned home Jordi Alba's cross in the six-yard box. 1-4.
With Barca comfortably leading, Enrique introduced the likes Paco Alcacer and Denis Suarez for Luis Suarez and Rakitic with 10 minutes remaining.
The visitors managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease, as they maintain top spot for another week, although Real Madrid still have two games to play.
