Date: 06 May 2017
Venue: Nuevo Los Cármenes
James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata both bagged braces as Real Madrid thumped Granada 4-0 without Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale on Saturday evening.
Real broke the deadlock after just three minutes as James Rodriguez poked home from close range, after getting on the end of Lucas Vazquez's cross.
The lead was doubled in the 10th minute when Rodriguez bagged his second goal by heading home Fabio Coentrao's cross, 2-0
Zinedine Zidane's charges continued to dominate and they bagged a third goal in the 30th minute through Alvaro Morata, who turned home Danilo's low cross.
Morata then got his second and Real's fourth goal five minutes later as the striker showed good strength to get into the box before firing past Ochoa.
Despite Real's domination in the opening 45 minutes, the score remained 4-0 as the sides entered the halftime break.
With the visitors comfortably leading, Zidane introduced Karim Benzema for Marcos Asensio in the 59th minute.
Sergio Ramos went close to adding a fifth goal for Los Blancos in the 66th minute but he somehow fired wide of the mark from 12-yards out.
Granada had a rare sight of goal in the 75th minute, but Adrian Ramos failed to connect with Hongla's inviting cross in the six-yard box.
Nonetheless, Los Blancos managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease to claim another vital victory.
Zidane's charges move level on points with FC Barcelona, who remain in top spot but the Madrid outfit have a game in hand.
