Goals from Fernando Torres, Koke and Antoine Griezmann handed Atletico Madrid a 3-1 win over Espanyol.
After a slow start to the game, Atletico nearly opened the scoring in the 18th minute, as Fernando Torres struck the crossbar from close range.
The home side then hit the woodwork two minutes later, as Sergio Asensio's cross evaded everyone and sailed onto the crossbar, before Atletico managed to clear.
Espanyol then took the lead in the 29th minute as Papa Diop rose well to power home a header into the bottom corner. His second goal in as many games.
However the hosts' joy was short-lived, as Koke found Torres, who slotted home from close range in the 35th minute, 1-1.
Diego Simeone opted to make a double change just before the hour-mark, as he introduced Angel Correa and Thomas Party.
Atletico restored their lead in the 58th minute, as Griezmann slotted home from close range, after being picked out by Koke.
The home side continued to push for an equaliser and also introduced Jorge Franco Alviz, while Simeone responded by bringing in Saul Niguez.
However, Koke then got his name on the score-sheet in the 89th minute, as Torres turned to provider to pick out the Spanish midfielder, who headed home.
