James & Isco Shine As Real Thrash Deportivo Without BBC

James Rodriguez and Isco played starring roles as Real Madrid thrashed Deportivo La Coruna 6-2 without Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale on Wednesday evening.

Real broke the deadlock inside the first minute as Alvaro Morata slammed home from close range, after some poor defending from Deportivo.

The lead was doubled in the 14th minute as Lucas Vazquez picked out James Rodriguez, who fired home a clinical strike from close range.

Keylor Navas came to Real's rescue in the 23rd minute, as he produced a fine stop keep out Carlos Gil's long-range effort.

Deportivo pulled a goal back in the 35th minute as Andone slotted home from close range, after Gael Kakuta's effort had fallen into the striker's path.

However, Real restored their two-goal advantage on the stroke halftime with Vazquez turning home Marcelo's cross, 1-3.

Zinedine Zidane's charges had a chance to grab a fourth goal in the 60th minute but Vazquez steered his effort wide of the mark from close range.

Real eventually got their fourth goal in the 67th minute James grabbed his second goal by turning home Morata's low cross.

The visitors continued to dominate and added a fifth goal in the 78th minute when Isco turned home Vazquez's cross at the far post.

Deportivo pulled another goal back in the 84th minute as Andone turned provider to pick out Joselu, who headed home from close range,.

However, the visitors had the final say as Casemiro scored the sixth goal with an effort from distance in the 87th minute.
