Result: Barcelona 0-0 Malaga
Date: 19 November 2016
Venue: Camp Nou
FC Barcelona were forced to settle for a point, after they drew 0-0 with nine-man Malaga at the Camp Nou on Saturday evening.
Luis Enrique's charges were dealt a blow before the clash as Lionel Messi was ruled out after falling ill.
The home side had the ball in the back of the net after three minutes, but Paco Alcacer was flagged offside.
Malaga had a chance to break the deadlock after 24 minutes, but Marc-Andre Ter Stegen pulled off a superb save to keep out Sandro's effort from 25-yards out.
Barcelona were left frustrated by Malaga goalkeeper, Carlos Kameni, as the Cameroonian produced a stunning save to keep out Rafinha's deflected effort.
The score remained goalless as the sides entered the halftime break.
The hosts struggled to break down Malaga's defence, which prompted Enrique to introduce Jordi Alba and Andre Gomes after the hour-mark.
However, Malaga were reduced to 10 men in the 69th minute when Diego Llorente was shown a straight red card for bringing down Neymar, who was through on goal.
Enrique opted for another change for the final 10 minutes as Ivan Rakitic replaced Rafinha.
Barcelona pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but Kameni was at his best, as he pulled off another fine save to keep out Neymar's header in stoppage time.
