According to Sport, president Florentino Perez is concerned with Real's form this season, which could lead to the club looking to sign players in January.
Real are reportedly targeting Real Sociedad right back Alvaro Odriozola, who they believe could be adequate back-up to Dani Carvajal.
Despite being impressed with young fullback Achraf Hakimi, it has been claimed the club feels that he is still very raw and has plenty room for improvement.
Perez is also reportedly considering a move for AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci, with Raphael Varane and Jesus Vallejo both having struggled with injuries this season.
However, it could be difficult for the Spanish giants to convince the Italian of a move as he only joined Milan at the beginning of this season.
