Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly willing to pay about €110 million (R1.8 billion) for a Serie A striker.
According to Football Espana, Los Blancos are open to the idea of signing Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi in the upcoming window.
The reigning UEFA Champions League winners are looking to strengthen their squad, and it is believed that another striker is high among their priorities.
The 24-year-old, who has a €110 million (R1.8 billion) release clause in his contract, is said to be interested in a move to La Liga.
However, the Argentine has previously been quoted as saying "he wouldn't answer a call from Real Madrid" should they want him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants have also been linked with England striker Harry Kane, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar and Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard, among others.
Icardi has made 14 appearances for Inter so far this season, scoring 15 goals and assisting one further strike.
