Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly made an approach for a superstar midfielder, and could make a R1.8 billion bid to secure his services.
According to City Watch, Los Blancos have reached out to Kevin De Bruyne's agent, Patrick De Koster, to enquire about the availability of the Belgian at the end of the season.
Manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly looking to bring in a high-profile star for the next campaign, with De Bruyne being identified as one of their main targets.
The 26-year-old has been arguably the best player in the Premier League this season, where his sublime passing ability has wowed fans.
Under manager Pep Guardiola, City have aspirations of competing with Europe's elite, which could lead to them rejecting all bids for their star man.
It has been, however, reported that an offer of £100 million (R1.8 billion) could get them to consider a sale.
De Bruyne has assisted 10 goals and scored five times in 20 games for the Citizens so far in this campaign.
