Real drew their second successive La Liga match of the campaign this past weekend, when they were unable to find a winner against Levante despite dominating the possession stats.
Karim Benzema was substituted during the clash with an injury that could keep him out for up to a month, and according to Don Balon, the club are already planning to bring in a new forward in the new year.
It has been claimed that Real president Florentino Perez and manager Zidane have chatted about who the club could bring in, with five names said to be on their agreed wish list.
RB Leipzig and Germany international Timo Werner is said to be on Real's radar, as well as Torino hitman Andrea Belotti, who is reportedly being monitored by many top European clubs.
Kasper Dolberg, 19, is also said to be among the candidates, as is Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller, who is reportedly growing frustrated with his limited game time in Germany.
Los Blancos are on five points after three league games in La Liga, while rivals FC Barcelona lead the way with nine points from their first three league matches.
