Reports: FC Barcelona Prepare Fourth & Final Bid For Philippe Coutinho
FC Barcelona are reportedly preparing a fourth and final bid for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
The Merseyside club has stood firm regarding the sale of their superstar so far, and have already rejected three bids from the Blaugrana in this transfer window.
The Reds have issued a statement outlining that Coutinho is not for sale, and these words have been echoed by manager Jurgen Klopp in some of his press conferences.
According to English publication The Sun, the Catalan giants are looking to test Liverpool’s resolve one final time with an offer of about £136 million (R2.31 billion) for the Selecao star.
The breakdown of the deal is expected to be as follows: £100 million (R1.69 billion) up front, with £36 million (R611 million) in add-ons, one of them being that the Merseyside club would get about £9 million (R152 million) each time the Blaugrana qualify for the UEFA Champions League over the next four seasons.
The Spanish giants are said to be offering Coutinho a five-year deal as they see him as an ideal replacement for Neymar.
The 25-year-old has made 181 appearances for the Anfield club since joining them in 2012, scoring 42 goals and assisting 37 further strikes.
