Reports: FC Barcelona Boss Has Fallen Out With Striker
FC Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has reportedly fallen out with one of the strikers in his squad.
According to Spanish publication Diario Gol, the 53-year-old is not talking to Spain forward Paco Alcacer, although it is unknown why this is the case.
The Blaugrana purchased the 24-year-old for £23 million (R415 million) from Valencia in 2016, but the player has struggled to have an impact at the Camp Nou since.
Alcacer has made only two La Liga appearances for the Catalan club this season, has not featured in any of the Spanish giants' past six fixtures.
After Barcelona's game against Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, Valverde was asked whether or not the forward was still in his plans for the season ahead.
"Paco was in the squad for the Girona game. Who knows what will happen in the future?" Valverde said, as quoted by Diario Gol.
"There are 24 players in the squad and you'll ask me every week about the players who aren't in the team.
"I can't pick them all. UEFA won't allow that."
The striker has made only 30 appearances for the Blaugrana since joining, scoring eight goals.
