Despite their great start to the new La Liga campaign, FC Barcelona reportedly have 10 players on their axe list, according to latest reports.

Marca suggest the Catalan giants need to gain €50 million (R822 million) from the sale of players in the next year in order to avoid problems with their enormous wage bill.
The Blaugrana have extended contracts and improved salaries of many of their key players over the last season or two, with Andres Iniesta being the latest to sign a new deal.

As a consequence of the ever growing wage bill, Barca’s bosses are reportedly open to sell 10 of the 24 players in their squad. This doesn’t mean all 10 will leave the club, but their names are on the market.
Arda Turan is understood to be the first one on the club’s exit list, with latest reports suggesting Barca are asking for €10 million (R164 million) and a departure could be confirmed in January.
Denis Suarez is reportedly also high on the club’s axe list and he even came out saying the board want to sell him against his will.
Thomas Vermaelen has also struggled to convince at the Camp Nou since his move from Arsenal and is joined by injury-prone Rafinha on the axe list. Other players, who could leave Barca, can be found in the gallery above.
