Real Madrid Set To Announce Contract Extensions For Six First Team Stars?

Reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly set to announce contract extensions for six of their first team stars.

According to Spanish publication Marca, Zinedine Zidane is ready to offer Karim Benzema, Isco, Marco Asensio, Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane new deals in the coming weeks.

The report claimed that Isco will be offered a contract that will see him stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2021, with his release clause set to increase to €700 million (R10.8 billion).

After a number of dazzling performance in recent months, Los Blancos starlet Asensio is also rumoured to be in line to put pen to paper on a new contract. Despite renewing back in 2016, Real apparently want to offer him a deal that will keep him at the club until 2023.

Centre back Raphael Varane is a vital member of the team, and it is believed he will sign an extension that will see him stay until 2022, with the same being said of Marcelo and Carvajal, while France international Karim Benzema could extend his current deal by another two years.
