Real Seal First January Signing?
Real Madrid Seal First January Signing?
Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly on the verge of completing their first signing ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Marca, Los Blancos have agreed a six-year deal for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
There have been rumours that the Madrid club has been wanting to add depth to their goalkeeping department for some time, and it now seems they have found the man they want.
Arrrizabalaga is expected to replace back-up shot-stopper Kiko Casilla, who has failed to impress since joining the club from Espanyol in 2015, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real are also said to be looking for a direct replacement for first team keeper Keylor Navas in the near future.
The UEFA Champions League winners will apparently pay £22 million (R399 million) for the Athletic star, and it is believed he will be earning around £2.2 million (R39.9 million) a year, and would officially join up with the Madrid club in January.
Kepa is currently in the last six months of his current contract, and has featured 15 times for the Basque club so far this season.
