Real President Backs Zidane

Real Madrid have been struggling in La Liga this season, but president Florentino Perez has backed his manager Zinedine Zidane following criticism of the Frenchman.

Reports: Neymar Demands That Real Sell One Star Before Joining

The Spanish giants are currently eight points off league leaders FC Barcelona, having lost twice and drawn four of their games so far in this campaign.

Many have criticised Zidane and players such as Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo for the team's poor league return thus far, but Perez still believes the tactician is the right man for the job.

"We have a team to keep dreaming with a wonderful trainer in Zinedine Zidane who has achieved everything with Real Madrid, the team of his life," he said, according to the Daily Record.

"He is one of our great symbols, one of the biggest icons who brings together the values and talent necessary to be the leader of one of the best squads we have ever had, captained by Sergio Ramos and Marcelo.

"They, too, are examples of our values."

Reports: Shock Clause Included In Messi's New Barca Contract

Los Blancos are currently fourth in La Liga, behind Atletico Madrid, Valencia and leaders Barca.
