A majority of Real Madrid's faithful would reportedly be happy with the club selling one of their star players.
Colombian superstar James Rodriguez has not quite settled in at Real as well as fans would have hoped, and in a recent poll conducted by Marca, 59% of the club's supporters voted that the player can be sold.
The Spanish publication claimed that 29 000 readers took part in the poll, which was set up to get an idea of how many of the club's fans would be open to the idea of them selling Rodriguez, who was purchased for £63 million (R1.1 billion) in 2014.
Spanish youngster Marco Asensio has been getting more minutes than the former Monaco man in recent matches, and his impressive performances mean he is likely to get even more.
Rodriguez seems to be lower than Isco, Lucas Vasquez and Mateo Kovacic in the pecking order at the club, despite Zinedine Zidane recently stating he would like the player to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The playmaker has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months, but it is unlikely that Real will allow him to leave for anything less than what they paid for him.
