Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on a Manchester City star who has apparently put his contracts talks on hold.
10 EPL Signings Who Have Failed To Impress This Season
According to the Daily Mirror, England international Raheem Sterling has decided to stall talks with the Citizens over a new deal until after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
It has been said that the in-form winger wants to focus on winning the Premier League with his club side, and then maintain his excellent form for his country, before talking about his future.
This development has apparently put Los Blancos on alert, and they could renew their interest in the former Liverpool star they were heavily linked with two years ago.
The 22-year-old, who joined Man City for £49 million (R891 million) from the Reds, has two years left on his current deal, and is apparently earning about £180 000 (R3.72 million) a week at the Etihad.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is said to be looking to improve his squad in the coming months, especially after the inconsistency they have shown this season.
It is unknown whether or not Pep Guardiola would be willing to sell the English star, but if he continues his impressive performances, there will undoubtedly be some interest in him.
