Official: Real Madrid To Unveil Defender

Spanish giants Real Madrid have announced they will reveal a new defender for the 2017/18 campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu on Friday afternoon. 

Reports: Man Utd Agree Deal For Lukaku

It was reported, in June, that 20-year-old defender Jesus Vallejo would be in Zinedine Zidane's first team next season, and the club now has now confirmed this.

Vallejo, a centre back, signed for Los Blancos in 2015, but has spent the subsequent seasons out on loan at Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The club has now announced that the player will be unveiled on Friday afternoon.

"The player Jesus Vallejo will be presented tomorrow, Friday, July 7, at 1:00 p.m., in the box of honour of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Later, Jesus Vallejo will step for the first time the turf of the Santiago Bernabeu with the shirt of Real Madrid and will attend to the means of communication in the press room," a statement on Real's official website read.

FIFA Announce New World Rankings

The defender has made 81 senior team appearances in his career so far, and is a regular in Spain's U21 side.
