Result: Barcelona 0-1 Malaga
Date: 21 February 2015
Venue: Nou Camp
Barcelona's La Liga title chase took a big blow on Saturday as Malaga beat the Catalans 1-0 at the Nou Camp.
The visitors took the early lead in only the seventh minute. A big goal-kick from Malaga keeper Kameni seemed to be routine for Dani Alvez to deal with, but the Brazilian's attempted pass to Bravo was intercepted by Juanmi who rounded the onrushing goalkeeper and placed his shot into the back of the net.
In the 33rd minute the Catalans almost conceded a second goal. Horta attacked down the left and back-heeled the ball for Juanmi to strike from a scoring position, but his effort was well kept out by Bravo's athletic save.
Three minutes later Malaga were at it again. Rosales was in space on the right and sent a high cross towards the near post where Horta had time to attempt an overhead kick, but it went straight at Bravo.
Barcelona dominated the possession stakes throughout the game but did very little with the ball as Malaga were able to hit more strikes at goal than their hosts after an hour's football.
In stoppage-time it seemed as though Barca would find their equaliser through Suarez when he curled a vicious strike at the Malaga goal, but Kameni was up for the save and ensured the visitors came away with a famous victory over the Spanish giants.
