Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil's contract expires at the end of the season, and recent reports suggest the Spanish giants are keen to sign him for a £20 million (R372 million) cut price in January.
Spanish publication AS has now claimed the 29-year-old is asking for £330 000 (R6.14 million) a week, which works out to £16.9 million (R315 million) a year before taxes.
After deductions, Ozil's annual salary would calculate to £8.9 million (R166 million) and his monthly income to £171 000 (3.2 million), which would place him among Barca's highest paid players.
Only Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi would reportedly earn more than the German World Cup winner.
However, AS insisted Barcelona could only afford Ozil's salary demands if they get Arda Turan off the wage bill in January because they would go over their budgeted 84% salary cap if they don't.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is understood to be prepared to let Ozil leave in January in order to prevent the player moving on a free transfer to Manchester United, who are rumoured to be his preferred destination.
