FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has spoken about the possibility of the Catalan club leaving La Liga.
Barca To Play In EPL If Axed From La Liga?
On Sunday, thousands of Catalans voted for or against independence from Spain, with reports suggesting that more than 80% of Catalonia voted for the movement.
La Liga have warned that if Catalonia does gain independence, there is a chance that Barca could be kicked out of the league.
Blaugrana president Bartomeu has now said that although they are far away from this becoming a real possibility, it is something the club would consider.
"This situation does not exist so far," he said, according to FourFourTwo.
"But with regards to things that can happen in the future, it is something that the board of directors would discuss. It would be something to analyse calmly.
"If we discuss the subject intensely then obviously we will find the best solution. But if this (independence) happens, the board of directors will see."
Pep Criticises Barca's Decision
