Club Legend: If Real Madrid Need Goals, I’ll Get Myself Fit
A Real Madrid legend has jokingly offered his services to Los Blancos should the team continue to struggle to score goals this season.
The Spanish club has only managed to score nine goals in La Liga this season, which is as many as FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has netted so far.
Former Brazil international Ronaldo de Lima told members of the media that he feels his former club has enough players that can score goals, but if the problem persists then, he would be more than willing to kit up again.
"We have a lot of players who can score goals, and I'm sure it won't be a problem," Ronaldo jokingly told AS.
"And if something happens, I'll get back in shape myself if I'm needed."
The 41-year-old also touched on the reigning La Liga champion’s current winless streak in the league.
"I don't think Madrid have lacked anything over the last few years, they've already shown what they are capable of," Ronaldo added.
"Last season they went through something similar and went on to win the league and the Champions League. This season is only just starting.
"Even after winning everything we've won up to now, three mediocre games at home means the questions are starting, but there is absolutely no doubt about the capabilities of the team."
Real are seven points behind their arch-rivals Barcelona, who are leading the La Liga table.
