Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that the club are ready to finish off the season with a bang.
Real Boosted By Fully Fit Ronaldo
Ancelotti touched on the injuries that allowed in-form Isco to take on a starting role, saying that Luka Modric is “almost ready” to return to action
“We're physically fit and ready going into the business end of the season,” the Italian added.
Ahead of tonight’s La Liga clash with Villarreal, the young Spaniard finds himself in superb form, proving not only to be capable in linking midfield to attack, but also in terms of his defensive duties. Ancelotti remarked that the Spaniard is a certain starter in his team and concluded by praising his opponents tonight.
“If he keeps playing like he has been, his place is non-negotiable,” the Italian said in a press conference. “He’s played well in every position. I think we should use him more going forward than in defence, although the key to his current run of form has been his defensive attitude.”
“They (Villarreal) are a quality, well-organised team and they play good football. They beat Atletico and put in a good performance against Barcelona. They're a very good side.”
A victory tonight would put Real Madrid four points clear of their title rivals, Barcelona, and in pole position to win their first La Liga title since 2012.
