The club announced on Wednesday that the Brazilian had handed in a transfer request, meaning they are likely to be looking for a replacement for him soon.
According to Football Espana, Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele has emerged as the club's main transfer target. The 20-year-old was one of his side's key performers in the previous campaign, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further 21 strikes in 49 matches.
Marca has suggested that Paulo Dybala would love to team up with countryman Lionel Messi at Barca, although it has been reported that Juventus are unwilling to sell the player.
The Spanish publication has also linked Philippe Coutinho with the Catalan giants, despite Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's plan to keep the Brazilian in England.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato.com has claimed that Angel Di Maria would be open to a move from Paris Saint-Germain to the Blaugrana, something the French club might be keen on as they may need to free up their wage bill a bit if they do sign Neymar.
Sport recently reported that Antoine Griezmann had become a target for Barca, while the Daily Express has claimed that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to move for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez in the coming days because he apparently believes the Catalans might want to reunite with their former attacker.
