Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has revealed five rivals that he hates having to go up against, and former teammate Lionel Messi is one of them.
The Ivorian won’t be involved in tonight’s encounter with Barcelona as he picked up a red card in the group stage of the Champion League and is still serving a suspension.
Toure revealed the remaining four players he would prefer to have on his team, rather than having them in the opposition’s side.
"(Lionel) Messi. (Sergio) Aguero as well... fantastic player!” he told the Daily Star.
"And in the midfield, I would like to play with (Andres) Iniesta as well. Defender, Thiago Silva, love him.
"I have a lot of players, but (Vincent) Kompany as well is very good, strong and very difficult to play against.
"I am very happy to play with him, as to play against him I think is difficult."
Manuel Pellegrini's side go into the first-leg of their Champions League Round of 16 match high on confidence following their 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United this weekend.
