Wenger: Too Early To Make Title Prediction

Arsene Wenger has denied talks that this season's Premier League title race will be a three-way battle between Manchester City, Chelsea and his Arsenal side.

“I wouldn’t rule some other teams out like Man United,” the Arsenal manager stated. “It’s a bit early to make any prediction on the championship. What is more at stake for us is the consistency that we have shown until now.”

Arsenal are hosting Hull at the Emirates in their next league encounter tomorrow evening and Wenger has indicated that his team’s focus is only on this next game.

“They have just beaten Liverpool in a very convincing way and that give us a good warning.”

Arsenal will be looking to add another win to their good start into the season and Wenger will be hoping for a similar display Arsenal showed in their convincing 3:0 away win over Cardiff this past weekend.

The current log leaders are four points clear of Mourinho’s Chelsea and six points ahead of Manchester City, but will face both of them in the next 20 days.

After the Tigers, Arsenal welcomes an on-form Everton to the Emirates on the weekend, before they face Napoli in a tricky Champions League away fixture. Subsequently they travel to Manchester City and welcome Chelsea at home just before Christmas.

“We have a very difficult month in front of us and if we can maintain the quality in our game, our concentration and our solidarity level, then we have a good chance.”
