Wenger: PSG Would Be In Line For CR7

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Paris Saint Germain would be sure contenders to sign Cristiano Ronaldo if he were to leave Real Madrid.

Rumours have continued to suggest that the former Manchester United man is not happy at Los Blancos, and that he is considering a move away from the club at the end of the season.

PSG have been linked with a possible big-money move for the Portugal international, after having spent considerably over the last two seasons.

Wenger believes that if Madrid are willing to part with their biggest asset, the French side would be definite contenders for his signature.

"You do not leave Real Madrid if Real Madrid do not want you to leave," the 63-year-old Gunners boss told Telefoot.

"But I am sure of one thing. PSG would be in line for Cristiano Ronaldo."

Meanwhile, former Portugal forward Pauleta, who played for the Parisians between 2003 and 2008, also feels that his compatriot could make the move if he decides to go.

"PSG have the capacity to buy him and a great sporting director in Leonado, who is a phenomenon with great knowledge, so why not?"
