A 56th minute strike by Danny Welbeck was enough to secure a 1-0 win for Manchester United over Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The win moves David Moyes' men into sixth position on the Premier League table, while Norwich remain in 14th position.
Norwich created the first opportunity after 16 minutes, Robert Snodgrass played in Russell Martin but the defender's close range effort drew a fine save from David De Gea.
Gary Hooper came close to giving the home side the lead in the 21st minute, Snodgrass managed to pick out an unmarked Hooper, who could only fire straight at De Gea.
De Gea was called into action in the 36th minute, the Spaniard was in the right position to deny Sebastian Bassong's header, following a corner from Snodgrass.
Ashley Young came close in the 48th minute, after a surging run at the Norwich defence, the winger let rip from outside the area but his effort went just over john Ruddy's bar.
Danny Welbeck gave united the lead in the 56th minute, the striker linked up well with Javier Hernandez, before dribbling past Ruddy and slotting into an empty net.
Hernandez tested Ruddy from long range in the 69th minute, after collecting a pass from Patrice Evra, the Mexican turned and fired straight at Ruddy, who fumbled the effort at first but still managed to gather the ball.
Josh Murphy tried his luck at goal from distance in the 83rd minute, but the substitute's effort went well over the bar.
