Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says that his side cherished every moment of the season and are looking to build a great club for the future after being crowned English Premier League Champions on Sunday.
City ran out 2-0 winners over West Ham United to take their points tally an unassailable 86 points, two ahead of second place Liverpool.
Kompany scored the second goal of the afternoon and is expecting his team to win more trophies now.
“We cherish every moment and it is unbelievable. It is an incredible achievement,” said Kompany upon winning the league title for the second time in three years.
“People can say what they want, but I see it from the inside and we are building a club, a real club with a heart and a soul.
“Every year we compete to wing things and every year I think we improve on how they club grows.
“The title is confirmation. When we won the first one we thought we might win it every single year and then you lose it one year and you feel like you are never going to win it again.
“But the belief is there now, if we play like we can, we can win a lot of titles and a lot of trophies.
“It is important to build on this.”
