Despite interest from English Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Arsenal, Victor Valdes insists that he intends to see out the final year of his Barcelona contract.
The goalkeeper has already stated that he intends to leave the Catalan club when his current deal expires in the summer of 2014.
Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 31-year-old shot-stopper as a result.
With the Anfield club said to be close to bringing in Sunderland's Simon Mignolet, current incumbent Pepe Reina has been the subject of rumours regarding a return to the Nou Camp, where he started his career.
But Valdes has repeated his stance over his desire to stay with Barca for one final year regardless of what else might happen.
“I consider that my cycle as a Barcelona player will come to an end when my contract expires in 2014,” said Valdes.
“I understand that with more than 12 months' warning there should be sufficient time to find the best solution for the club and for the player, so that Barca keep on winning and so do I.”
