Wilfried Zaha will never have to beg for hand outs after he joins Manchester United, in a deal expected to be completed by the end of the week.
The Red Devils have undertaken to pay Crystal Palace as much as £15million for the 20-year-old forward.
And Zaha will pocket a reported £35, 000 a week as soon as he starts work at Old Trafford.
United will deposit £10m into the Eagles’ bank account to secure the services of highly rated speedster Zaha, and will pay a further £5m in staggered payments, depending on the frequency of Zaha’s appearances for the 19-time English champions.
Palace are also apparently entitled to a portion of the profit should Zaha ever be sold by United.
Palace are laughing all the way to the bank over the deal, after United seemingly bent over backwards to accommodate them.
They even managed to retain Zaha’s services until the end of the season, to help with their push for promotion to the Premier League.
Ian Holloway’s side are currently fourth in the Championship, and in with a shot of making it back to the big time.
With the money they take from United now, they will be able to strengthen their squad for the rest of their promotion battle.
And keeping Zaha until the season ends can only benefit them, provided the youngster does not think he has already made it, and keeps up his stellar performances.
