PSG Put Three Past Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain put on a impressive performance as they defeated Chelsea 3-1 in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash at Parc design Princes.

PSG got off to the perfect start as Ezequiel Lavezzi superb finish from inside the area gave the French outfit the lead.

Chelsea's first effort on goal arrived in the 19th minute as David Luis's strike from distance was comfortably dealt with by Sirigu.

Lavezzi nearly doubled PSG's advantage in the 25th minute but the Argentine fired an effort into the side-netting, following a great bit of play by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Just a minute later and Chelsea were awarded a penalty after Thiago Silva had brought down Oscar in the area and Eden Hazard stepped up to the convert the penalty.

Hazard nearly put Chelsea ahead five minutes before the halftime break but the Belgian's volley crashed onto the upright.

Five minutes after the halftime break and Lavezzi could have given the home side the lead  but striker headed over from close range.

The hosts were gifted the lead in the 61st minute as David Luiz turned the ball into his own net, after Lavezzi's delightful free-kick.

Edison Cavani almost increased the home side's advantage in the 83rd minute but the Uruguayan's effort from the edge of the area went just wide of the post.

Javier Pastore added a third deep in stoppage with a brilliant solo goal, the Argentine danced past three challenges before slotting past Peter Cech.

Jose Mourinho's men have the tough task of overturning the 3-1 deficit when they host PSG in the second leg at Stamford Bridge.
