Tuesday's FA Cup Wrap

Sunderland exited the FA Cup in the third round on Tuesday at the hands of Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers.

The Black Cats were beaten 2-0 at home, with Marvin Sordell bagging a second-half brace for the Trotters at the Stadium of Light.

Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers pulled off a morale-boosting win with a 1-0 defeat of West Brom, courtesy of Jay Bothroyd's 75th minute decider at the Hawthorns.

Wigan Athletic got the better of League One side AFC Bournemouth, with Mauro Boselli scoring the only goal on 18 minutes at Dean Court.

Stoke needed extra time but eventually powered to a 4-1 triumph at Crystal Palace's expense. Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi's side forced the game into extra time via Glenn Murray's 87th minute penalty, which cancelled out Kenwyne Jones's opener. However, Jonathan Walters struck twice before Cameron Jerome sealed the rout in the closing stages of additional time.

Fulham, meanwhile, were desperately close to succumbing to Blackpool, as Kieran Richardson erased Nathan Delfouneso's 82nd minute strike in stoppage time before scoring the winner in the additional 30 minutes.

In other results, unused substitute David Somme's Leeds United came from behind to edge Birmingham 2-1, Brentford defeated Southend by the same scoreline, Hull beat Leyton Orient 2-1, while Milton Keynes Dons dispatched Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.
