A number of transfers have been confirmed before next season, including Mauro Icardi's permanent switch from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain and Francisco Trincao's move to FC Barcelona from Sporting Braga.
There are a few African footballers who have already had moves confirmed for the coming window too, including Cameroon international Karl Toko Ekambi. The 27-year-old joined Olympique Lyon on loan from Villarreal in January, but the transfer will become permanent next season.
The striker began and played most of his professional career thus far in France, representing the likes of Paris FC, Sochaux and Angers before joining Villarreal two years ago.
Inter Milan talent Yann Karamoh will join Parma, where he is currently on loan, for a reported fee of €8 million (R150 million) in the coming window, having perhaps not developed as well as many believed he would since his arrival at the Nerazzurri three years ago.
While the 21-year-old winger was born in the Ivory Coast, he represented France at youth level, but has not yet been considered for Les Bleus' senior side by manager Didier Deschamps.
Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan will leave Sassuolo for Fiorentina for €15 million (R283 million), while the biggest African transfer already confirmed for next season is Hakim Ziyech's big-money transfer from Ajax Amsterdam to Chelsea.
