Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City at KC stadium on Saturday afternoon. Nikica Jelavic opened the scoring, and Paulinho ensured the share of spoils.
The struggling City side are yet to win in 2014.
In the fourth minute Hull City got a corner after a long ball, that Ahmed Elmohamady took, but it was cleared off the lines by Michael Dawson.
Roberto Soldado picked out Emmanuel Adebayor in the tenth minute and the former Arsenal striker hit a first-time volley from 16-yards that was tipped over the bar by the City keeper Steve Harper.
Hull City opened the scoring in the 12th minute, when Nikica Jelavic hooked the ball over the top of the Spurs defence to set Shane Long free. The Irishman went one-on-one with Hugo Lloris to strike home from 12-yards, 1-0.
In the 29th minute Soldado was looking for Adebayor again with a cross from the right but it was cleared for a corner.
In the 34th minute, Soldado received a shooting chance in the box from a flick by Adebayor after a corner-kick. He volleyed the ball wide.
City were awarded a freekick in the 46th minute. Robbie Brady took it, and hit it low at the near post, but it was cleared by Nabil Bentaleb.
In the 55th minute Soldado forced Harper to make a smart save at his near post from a volley, after a ball fell into the striker's path.
Paulinho brought Spurs back into the game a minute after the hour-mark. Danny Rose fired a freekick into the City box and the ball fell into Paulinho's path, he controlled and blasted home from 14 yards. 1-1.
In the 76th minute Bentaleb hit a superb volley from 20 yards that flew just wide of the Hull City goals.
In the 83rd minute Curtis Davies made a good interception to clear Soldado's dangerous cross into the box.
It was end-to-end play from here on, but neither side could find the winner.
