The tag of the most valuable goalkeeper in the world, according to Transfermarkt, is shared by three players. Two of them play in the Premier League, while the other is based in LaLiga. Manchester United's David de Gea, Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois and Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak are the highest valued shot-stoppers in the game with a worth of €50 million (R830 million) each.
In fourth and fifth place is AC Milan teenager Gianluigi Donnarumma and FC Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The Italy star and the Germany international are each believed to be worth €40 million (R664 million) at this point in time.
Manchester City's Ederson and Bayern Munich stalwart Manuel Neuer follow with a value of €35 million (R581 million) each. The German has seen his value drop in recent years, largely due the numerous injuries he has sustained.
Making up the rest of the top 11, according to Transfermarkt, are Hugo Lloris, Sergio Rico, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Jordan Pickford.
