Carlos Tevez says that he spurned the advances of AC Milan in order to join Italian champions Juventus.
The explosive Argentine forward signed for The Old Lady on Wednesday following a medical in Turin, after Manchester City had agreed to let him leave in a cut-price £7.6 million deal.
Tevez has signed a three-year contract with Juve, and his arrival to bolster their title-winning squad will send shudders through the rest of the Serie A.
He claims that Juve “wanted him the most”, and his assertion that he rejected the Rossoneri will endear him to the Juventus Stadium faithful.
And for his ‘loyalty’, Tevez has been rewarded with the number 10 shirt at his new club. The illustrious number was previously worn by legends Michel Platini, and all-time top scorer, Alessandro Del Piero.
"I'm really happy to be here at Juve," Tevez told Sky Sport Italia after his medical.
"It's a really big satisfaction for me.
“I will tell the rest in the press conference – but Juventus wanted me more than Milan."
