Swansea City have announced the signature of Arsenal goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski, on a free transfer.
The club confirmed the 29-year-old has signed a four-year deal and will join them on July 1 when his current contract with Arsenal expires.
The Polish international is Swansea’s first signing after a seven-year spell at the Emirates.
Fabianksi proved his qualities in last year’s FA Cup campaign. His final game for Arsenal was in the 3-2 FA Cup victory over Hull City.
However, he never managed to oust Jens Lehmann, Manuel Almunia and Wojciech Szczesny at Arsenal since joining in 2007.
Overall, Fabianski has played 78 games for the Gunners in which he has kept 26 clean sheets.
His fine FA Cup campaign has sparked a lot of interest in the keeper, who declined a contract offer by Arsenal, because he wanted to be a first-choice keeper.
At the Liberty Stadium he has to fight with Dutch international Michel Vorm as well as his replacement Gerhard Tremmel for the spot in goal.
