Crystal Palace and Everton played to a goalless draw at Selhurst Part in an English Premier league match on Saturday afternoon.
Former South African captain Steven Pienaar started for Everton, while current Bafana midfielder, Kagiso Dikgacoi, was in the Palace starting line-up.
Palace remain at the bottom of the table, while Everton remain in fifth, but with games still to be played this weekend, they may not remain their for long.
Leon Osman had a chance for Everton in the 7th minute, but his shot went wide to the right, and five minutes later had another attempt which also went wide.
In the 35th minute a cross from Jerome Thomas found Kagisho Dikgachoi but his headed attempt went wide of goal.
Marouane Chamakh had a chance in the 39th minute but his header from the centre of the box went wide to the right.
Osman had another chance just before half-time but his right footed shot was saved in the top left corner by Tim Howard, and it remained 0-0 at the break.
In the 49th minute James McCarthy delivered a good weighted pass towards Pienaar, but his headed attempt went wide of goal.
Yannick Bolasie shot from a difficult angle in the 68th minute but Howard was able to make a good save.
In the final minutes Gerard Deulofeu had a shot on goal from long range but it just missed to the right.
But Palace held on against the Toffees to earn their first point in eight games in the Premier League.
