Messi Double Gets Barca Off To A Winning Start
Barcelona got their 2014/15 season underway with an impressive 3-0 win over Elche in their Spanish La Liga opening match on Sunday night at the Camp Nou.
The Catalan side were very impressive from the word go and squandered a few chances in the opening minutes of the match.

Iniesta was unlucky not to have got the opener in the 31st minute as his effort from the 25-yards hit the crossbar.
The last 15 minutes of the first half were hit by plenty of drama as Barcelona opened the scoring while Javier Mascherano, was sent-off for a reckless tackle a few minutes later.
Lionel Messi, broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, after receiving possession on the edge of the box, as he turned and stayed strong before he slotted home to send his team into the break enjoying a 1-0 lead.
Barcelona continued with their dominance in the second half and quickly increased the lead through 18-year old, Munir El Haddadi, who made it 2-0 for the home team in the 46th minute.
Messi was at it again in the 63rd minute, the Argentine took advantage of Elche’s defensive errors to make it 3-0 with a beautiful finish into the bottom left corner.
Elche appeared to be happy with the 3-0 defeat, as they avoided conceding more goals and lacked kind of urgency in the last ten minutes, while Barcelona were happy to dictate the game to register an impressive win in their opening match of the 2014/15 season.
