Koeman Confirmed As Saints New Boss
Ronald Koeman was confirmed as the new Southampton boss on Monday.
The Dutchmen, who endured a tough season at Feyenoord, penned a three-year deal at with the Saints, with his brother, Erwin Koeman joining him as the assistant.
The former Barcelona midfielder said was very impressed with the club, the moment he had the first meeting.
"Southampton have a talented first-team squad, a world-class academy and the infrastructure to sustain success in the Premier League," said Koeman.
"From my very first meeting with Les Reed [executive director], I could see clearly that this was the right club for me. We share the same philosophy of football and the same belief in how to develop the club.
"The opportunity to continue the development of this famous football club was simply too good to turn down. I cannot wait to get started."
Koeman's resume is impressive having managed Ajax Amsterdam, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven and Valencia just to name a few, while he was won the Eredivisie with both Ajax and PSV, as well the Copa Del Rey with Valencia.
