Tokelo Rantie set up a consolation goal for substitute Ryan Fraser as Bournemouth were beaten 3-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers. The Cherries record signing turned brilliantly past Grant Hanley to send through Fraser, who poked it past Kean in the 75th minute.
Bongani Khumalo and Dean Furman both started for Doncaster Rovers as their team claimed all three points in a tightly contested 1-0 win away at Sheffield Wednesday. On-loan Manchester United striker Federico Macheda’s third goal in two games for Doncaster was enough to give the away side all three points. Khumalo put in a solid display and stayed on the pitch for the full 90 minutes while South African compatriot Furman was substituted at half-time.
Kgosi Ntlhe was an unused substitute as his Peterborough team claimed a 1-0 win to send Rotherham to their first league defeat of the season. Ntlhe’s club continued their impressive start to the season with a Grant McCann penalty enough to claim all three points for the visitors.

Thulani Serero failed to shake off a shoulder injury to play in Ajax Amsterdam’s 6-0 thrashing of newly promoted Go Ahead Eagles. Serero’s team were never threatened by the new boys and scored all six goals by the 69th minute of the game.
