Sevilla captain, Ivan Rakitic, is close to signing a five-year deal with FC Barcelona.
While AS claim that the Barcelona are still working on a transfer, other reports suggest that a deal has already been agreed on.
Rakitic is rumoured to join the Catalan giants for €20m (R 292 million) and could be an immediate replacement for Cesc Fabregas.
With the arrival of Rakitic, it appears inevitable that Fabregas will leave after three season at Camp Nou, with a move to Chelsea becoming more and more likely.
Real Madrid and Atletico have also expressed an interest in signing Rakitic, but he seems to have opted for Barcelona.
The 26-year-old Croatia international led Sevilla to the Europa League title this season and has scored 32 goals and assisted further 41 assists since his arrival in Spain in 2011.
Rakitic is currently preparing with Croatia for the World Cup in Brazil.
