Verona jumped above Livorno in the league table into seventh place after beating them 2-1. Jorginho scored the winning goal for Verona from the penalty spot.
Roma maintained their 100 percent win record and top the Serie A table with 18 points from their six games after thumping Bologna 5-0 in the late match on Sunday. Gervinho was the standout player for Roma and grabbed a brace in the game.
