Serie A Afternoon Wrap

Sassuolo 0-7 Internazionale: Visitors Inter crushed the newly promoted team at the Stadia Braglia thanks to a brace from substitute Diego Milito, on his return from injury. Goals from Rodrigo Palacio, Saphir Taider, Ricardo Alvarez and Estaban Cambiasso before an own goal by defender Raffaele Puccino capped off a disappointing display by the home team.

AS Roma 2-0 Lazio: Roma took the lead in the 63rd minute when captain Francesco Totti setup fullback Federico Balzaretti to volley home after a tense, tight first-half. Both teams showed their neighbours lots of respect and approached the game cautiously at first, preferring to play deep in their in halves. The second-half did however bring more attacking impetus from both teams as they looked for a winner in this all important derby. Lazio then had André Dias shown red when he fouled Totti in the 82nd minute. An Adem Ljajic penalty in injury time sealed the win and Roma deservedly came out tops in Rome.

Atalanta 0-2 Fiorentina: Goals by Matías Fernández in the 41st minute and a 69th minute goal by in-form striker Giuseppe Rossi was enough to seal an away victory for Fiorentina over their hosts Atalanta at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

Bologna 1-2 Torino: Danilo D`Ambrosio got the visitors off to a flying start with a second minute opener before Cesare Natali equalised for the hosts in the 29th minute. A penalty by Alessio Cerci was enough to earn all three points at the Renato Dall'Ara.

Catania 0-0 Parma: Parma dominated their hosts by having most of the possession, but they could not find the breakthrough to snatch an away win in the stalemate at the Angelo Massimino Stadium.

Juventus 2-1 Hellas Verona: Fernando Llorente grabbed a winner in his first start in a Juventus shirt against newly promoted Hellas Verona. The away side took a shock lead in the 36th minute through Fabrizio Cacciatore, before Carlos Tevez equalised in the 40th with strike partner Llorente grabbing a winner in first-half injury time.
