Spain international, Santi Cazorla, has urged his La Roja teammate Cesc Fabregas to join him at Arsenal instead of moving to Chelsea.
Fabregas has been subject of massive transfer speculation after it seems that his club, FC Barcelona, want to cash in on the 27-year-old this summer.
He has been linked with both Manchester clubs and Arsenal, but lately rumours of him opting for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea are heating up.
"I read that Cesc (Fabregas) might go to Chelsea, I'd prefer to see him come to Arsenal. He has given a lot to the club and knows it well,” Cazorla commented on Fabregas’ future as quoted by Marca.
“I want him to be happy, for him to choose the right club and feel comfortable.”
Fabregas has scored 42 goals and assisted further 57 since moving to the Catalan giants in 2011, stats which are even better than his impressive records at Arsenal, but many make him a scapegoat for Barcelona’s trophyless season.
However, Cazorla insisted that his performances haven’t dropped since his transfer to Spain, but believes he is just not as valued as before.
"I don't see any difference between his performances in the Premiership and with Barça,” he added.
“His record is spectacular at Barcelona, and he has demonstrated that he has adapted, but he hasn't been valued there like he was in England.”
