Tottenham midfielder Sandro has real faith in his side’s ability to make a push for the Premier League title this season.
The Brazilian says that his club have the ability to surprise the other contenders with half of the season left to play.
Andre Villas-Boas' side currently occupy fourth in the table and sit 13 points adrift of league leaders Manchester United but Sandro is undeterred by the size of the gap.
The 23-year-old looked to Spur’s recent comeback victory against Sunderland as motivation for his side making a title tilt, with former champions Manchester City having failed against the same opposition a week earlier.
"Everybody talks about United, City and Chelsea, but never Spurs," said Sandro. "We have just won a hard game at Sunderland and Manchester City could not beat them here. We are not content to be just a top-four side. We are looking up the table.
Last season Spurs were touted as potential title challengers after a good spell saw them come close to the summit but their assault on the top position soon simmered down amidst all the talk of their chances.
"But no-one is talking about Spurs as champions (this season) and that suits us. I hope it carries on like that until the end of the season and then bang. We are there. We believe we are as good as the top teams."
