RB Leipzig midfielder Kevin Kampl has revealed that Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane was his best teammate at RB Salzburg in Austria, and listed several of what he feels are the Senegalese winger's strongest qualities.
The Senegal international represented Salzburg for two years following his move from Metz in France in 2012, before attracting interest from Southampton in the Premier League.
In Austria, Mane scored 45 goals and assisted a further 32 strikes in 87 matches across all competitions, and put in performances that earned him the title of Kampl's best colleague.
"The best teammate was Sadio Mane during my time at Red Bull Salzburg," he told Goal and Spox.
"He just had everything, the complete package. He was good on the ball, incredibly fast – both with and without the ball.
"He was dangerous in front of goal and played great passes.
"It was already seen back then that he could become a really great player."
Mane then contributed to 39 goals in 75 matches for Southampton, and eventually joined Liverpool in 2016, where he has become one of the world's best players.
After 161 appearances, the 28-year-old has struck 77 times and set up 34 goals for the Reds, and won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup titles along the way.
