A brace a piece from Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria gave Real Madrid another convincing Champions League win 4-0 over Copenhagen at the Santiago Bernabeu.
This win came on the back of 6-1 win against Galatasaray in Turkey on the opening Champions League tie.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 10th goal of the season and Real Madrid’s 500th European goal, when he opened the scoring in this Champions League tie with a 21st minute header against Copenhagen.
The former Manchester United superstar carried on his amazing goal-scoring form this being his 45th Champions League goal, with his opener at the Bernabeu coming after getting on the end of an inch perfect Marcelo cross.
The game however was very open, with the visitors having their fair share of possession and they did push forward in search of a goal and came close when Nicolai Jørgensen hit the bar with a close range header after he had gotten on the end of a Rurik Gislason cross.
The Portuguese goal machine then headed his second of the night from close range after an Angel Di Maria cross.
The Argentinean, who terrorised the team from Denmark’s defence all evening then got on the score-sheet himself, curling a left-footed shot past Copenhagen keeper Johan Wiland and into the bottom left corner, following a mazy run by the tricky winger.
Di Maria then grabbed his brace in the 90th minute, beating Wiland with another left-footed shot into the bottom right corner this time, after being set-up by substitute Álvaro Morata who Carlo Ancelotti had sent on in the 75th minute.
Real were way too strong for their Danish opponents and put their weekend Madrid derby disappointment aside where they went down 1-0 at home to Atletico with this comfortable European win at the Santiago Bernabeu.
